COTTAGES Our “bird house” cottages are each unique, and capture the timeless carefree spirit of life on the river. Lovingly restored to modern standards, they are comfortable and cozy, and can be rented year round.
All cottages have private fenced yards with redwood decks, gas grills, and private hot tubs. All have complete kitchens with granite countertops. Tastefully decorated with French doors, lace curtains, and electric or gas fireplaces, the cottages are designed with romance and privacy in mind. They are perfect for a rendezvous weekend, 1st or 2nd honeymoons, or a romantic getaway. They are also adaptable for groups, family vacations, and reunions. Compound Your Fun Privacy gates between cottages can be unlocked and opened if a group were to rent the whole compound. With all gates unlocked, guests have access to each other’s yards and the common area of Monte Rio Cottages. Here are picnic tables, sitting areas, and a campfire ring for morning and evening gatherings. You may rent any combination of cottages to accommodate your party’s needs, up to 16 adults. Amenities Fully Equipped Kitchens- all cottages have convection/microwave, coffee maker, cook-top stove, refrigerator, pots and pans, toaster, blender, spices, kitchen utensils, and place settings for four. The Blue Heron, our large, luxury, one bedroom cottage also has dishwasher, full size range and dinnerware service for 8. Luxury Linens- 600 thread bedding, down comforters, extra bedding, and large luxury towels. Conveniently Wired- Phone, cable TV, and Ethernet or wireless internet service. Also- Oversized towels, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and more. We’ve tried to think of everything, but please tell us if you’d like to see something that would make your stay more complete.
